Thank you for your interest in the KartRaiser from Full Bore Karting. We believe this stand will put some needed relief into your pit area and race days.

Your unit has been covered with some insulation to aid in its protection during shipping. The long piece on the front lift arm has been secured and should remain in place. In the bag you will find washers, axle collars and an Allen wrench for the wheels.

You will need a standard U1L size lawn tractor battery with 160 CCA to operate this unit. A dry cell battery of at least 160 CCA and no larger than 5” x 8” will fit in the battery tray as well.

***Keeping tension on the cable at all times will avoid the cable from loosening on the spool and pinching itself. If this occurs you will need to release some cable and re wind it on the spool This can be accomplished by releasing the spool with the handle on the end, pull out the cable. Reset the handle and use the winch to pull in the cable, keeping tension on it and guiding it on the spool in an even fashion***

You might notice some stiffness in the bushings on the lift arm when new. These should loosen up quickly.

It might be necessary to manually push forward the arms to lower the stand for the first few inches of movement. Some weight has been added to the top front lift arm to avoid this.

The cable guide on the wheel should be moved up after unpacking, DO THIS WITH THE STAND IN THE UP POSITION TO AVOID BINDING AGAINST THE CABLE.

When lowering the kart you will need to lightly pull back the stand as the karts nose touches down to keep the cable tight. This can be done with the control cable or by placing your foot on the rear wheel and rotating it backwards a half turn. Gravity will take over after that.

**For swivel wheeled models, pull the stand back a foot or so before lowering the kart to set the swivels in the correct position. Then raise the arms before moving stand away from kart. Push the KartRaiser forward behind your kart to set wheels before lowering the arms to lift your kart. You will understand why the first time you forget :-)

Enjoy your new KartRaiser Electric Kart lifter!

Safety Warnings

Watch and keep small animals and children away from stand while in operation and if storing kart on stand. If necessary remove power to the winch motor at the battery.

Watch the stand as it lifts. When the arms make contact with the stops release the control button. When the tone of the motor changes STOP!!! Excessive tension applied to the lift at this point will cause damage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although the cable and motor drive are rated at 2000lbs do not stand directly in line (behind) the  lifting cable during the lifting / lowering procedure.

Take care of your stand and it will take care of you!

Check fasteners periodically for tightness, Lube wheel bearings.

You can adjust the stainless steel wheel guide to be directly behind the wheel when unpacked. Due this when the stand is all the way up to avoid binding on cable.

DO NOT RELEASE THE CABLE DRIVE (Located on end of winch unit) WITH KART ON STAND!!!!!

If at and time the cable becomes frayed, seek a qualified technician or repair shop to shorten and reinstall the hook, loop and compression sleeves. There is plenty of extra cable. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE SADDLE CLIPS for repair !!

KartRaiser transport instructions

Use the winch to line up the holes for the rear arms to be pinned in position.

  1. Install a strap from the rear bar or bumper to the bottom of the stand to keep the kart in the hooks.

  1. Install one strap from the rear corner of the stand to trailer tie down.

  1. Install strap from the opposite front corner

  1. Install rear straps in a crisscross manner, make them tight enough to just lift the front tires off the ground.

  1. Install the front straps again in a crisscross manner and tighten till the tires are down.

Big Hook kit installation

***for installing on previously purchased stand remove the plugs from the front pick up arm
and pound out the ballast weight before drilling***

Make sure to center the front bar so it does not interfere with the front wheels.

Install the hooks as per picture below. These should be installed on the tube between the pick up arm and kart.

Overlap of tubes should be 2 7/8” as shown. This should allow the hooks to go either under or through the holes in the bumper.
When ever possible hooks should go through holes.
This will lower the rear end of the kart and lessen the shortening of the chain. Hook ends my need to be shortened for exhaust clearance.
